Microsoft Designer Gets Text-Generation Feature
Microsoft has rolled out a few updates to its Designer AI design tool, making it easier for users to create social media posts and other graphics. The company also added more text-generation features to the platform.
In addition to providing a set of templates, Microsoft Designer is designed to help users create unique content using their own description. It can then generate images and text to match. This can save time for users and ensure that content is tailored to specific audiences.
To use the Designer, users can select a desired goal (like "raise awareness" or "increase sales or bookings") and type in a short description. Then the platform will spit out a selection of captions and hashtags to fit the purpose of the post. It can even recommend fonts that would work well with the selected text.
The app can also automatically resize the image for different platforms, which will reduce the amount of manual adjustment needed when creating a post. And if users want to tweak the image, the app will provide visual guides to line up elements.
The new Designer is in preview, and Microsoft will be collecting feedback and adding more features over time. The service will be available for free until it is released fully, but some features are exclusive to users with a paid Microsoft 365 subscription. The tool is also being integrated into Edge, which should make it easier to create visual content without leaving the browser.
